Bring a clear skin history
Explain when the texture changed, whether it fluctuates and which products or procedures you have tried. Mention ongoing breakouts, sensitivity and previous problems with healing or pigment changes.
If the concern follows acne, the American Academy of Dermatology notes that scar treatment depends on factors including scar type, skin tone and whether acne is still active. One procedure is not a universal solution for every mark.
Ask what the treatment is targeting
