AT A GLANCE
Ultherapy suitability requires assessment of your concern, treatment area, medical history and expectations. Asking for a device by name is a starting point for a consultation, not confirmation that it is the right procedure for you.
Define the problem before the device
Show the clinician where you notice a change and explain whether it concerns looseness, facial fullness or another feature. Bring information about previous procedures and any implanted devices or medical conditions. Ask what the proposed approach can reasonably address and which aspects of your concern may need a different discussion. Age alone is not a treatment plan.
Questions to bring to your consultation
Use these questions to turn your interests into a specific discussion with your doctor. Keep the proposed treatment, the reason for it and the follow-up arrangements together in your notes.
- What has the examination identified in the area I am concerned about?
- Why is Ultherapy being considered for that finding?
- What alternatives, including no treatment, should I understand?
Your questions
Can a photograph confirm that I am suitable?
A photograph may help describe your concern, but it cannot replace the clinician’s examination and medical-history review before a treatment decision.
