Ask for a written summary of the agreed treatment plan: the concern assessed, proposed procedure, area, product or device, expected limitations, cost and next steps. Keep the summary with your aftercare instructions.
Make the plan useful after you leave
The record should help you remember why a procedure was proposed and what remains undecided. Ask the clinician to distinguish a confirmed step from a possible future option and to state when the response will be reviewed. If you are visiting from abroad, include the contact arrangements after departure and any records you should take home. The clinic’s clinical documentation is separate from website feedback or a booking message.
