AT A GLANCE
A jawline concern can involve several different features. Tell the clinician what has changed and ask what the examination identifies before deciding that a lifting device or injectable will address it.
Explain the outline you are concerned about
Show where you notice the difference and whether it appears at rest, in profile or only in photographs. Include previous procedures, changes in weight and any symptoms that need separate medical attention. Ask the doctor to explain the contribution of different tissues in ordinary language and to identify the limits of a nonsurgical proposal. A sharper-looking promotional image is not a personalised prediction.
Questions to bring to your consultation
Use these questions to turn your interests into a specific discussion with your doctor. Keep the proposed treatment, the reason for it and the follow-up arrangements together in your notes.
- Which assessed features are contributing to the outline?
- What does this proposal target and what does it leave unchanged?
- Would a different approach or no procedure be more appropriate?
Your questions
Can one treatment produce every kind of jawline change?
No single treatment should be assumed to address skin, fullness and structural contour equally. The examination and your goals need to guide the discussion.
